How to Brainstorm 200+ Names
Have you ever sat down to brainstorm names to reach out to for missionary partnership, and you can suddenly think of only like 10 people you've ever met in your life? Been there... but I can help!
The goal is to come up with at least 200 names. Here's the cardinal rule: don't disqualify anyone! You can prioritize your most likely to least likely partners later, but for now, every name you can think of goes on the list.
To brainstorm your contacts, start by listing different areas of your life, then try to turn each of those into a list of names. Remember, while you’re brainstorming, don’t second guess anything! For now, just put them on the list. You never know who may unexpectedly become your newest partner!
For example, try thinking of:
Current and past church connections
Extended family and family friends
Social media friends and followers
Childhood and school friends
Workplaces and colleagues
Sports, hobbies, and volunteer groups
After you have your list, sort them into three groups: A, B, and C.
A - most likely to partner
B - maybe partner
C - unlikely but who knows!
Your next step is to start a spreadsheet to collect mailing addresses and phone numbers! Once you have a majority of contact info collected, you can officially begin sending out letters. (For more on how the letter process works, read my blog What Is Partnership Development? or check out the training course I recommend.)
